Privacy

Your privacy, in plain words.

Reaching out about counselling takes trust. This page explains what happens to the information you share here.

What this page covers

This note is about the information you give through this website, in particular the enquiry form. It is separate from the clinical confidentiality that applies once you become a client, which is explained to you directly at that point.

What I collect, and why

When you send an enquiry, I collect the details you choose to enter: your name, your email, your phone number if you provide it, the topic you select, and your message. I collect these for one reason only, so that I can read your enquiry and respond to you.

I don't ask for sensitive personal or clinical detail through the form, and you don't need to share more than you're comfortable with to make first contact.

How your enquiry is handled

Your enquiry is delivered to me so I can reply personally. It is held securely, kept only as long as needed to respond to you and keep a reasonable record of our contact, and it is never sold or used for advertising.

Confidentiality

The information you share here is treated with care and in confidence. If you go on to work with me, the way your personal and health information is handled as a client is governed by professional and legal obligations, and I explain those to you before we begin.

This website

This site is deliberately simple. It doesn't run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand how the site is found and used, in aggregate, not to identify you.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you from an enquiry, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just get in touch using the details below.

In a crisis

This site and its form are not monitored around the clock and can't provide crisis support. If you are in distress or worried about your safety, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 000 in an emergency.
