Parenting support

Calmer, more connected days at home.

No one hands you a manual. Parenting support is a chance to step back, understand what your child needs, and find approaches that work for your family, without losing the warmth in the process.

Every parent has moments of doubt: the tantrums that come from nowhere, the teenager who's suddenly a stranger, the sense that you're either too soft or too strict and never quite right. It's exhausting, and it's completely normal.

Positive parenting isn't about being permissive, and it isn't about control. It's about a strong, respectful relationship with your child as the foundation, and clear, consistent limits that come with warmth and a reason behind them. Children who grow up with that tend to develop something far more valuable than obedience.

What it builds

The things that last long after the tantrum.

Self-discipline from within

Children learn to make good choices because they understand why, not only because someone is watching.

Resilience under pressure

A secure home life gives children a steadier base to stand on peer pressure and setbacks.

Open communication

When children feel heard rather than judged, they keep talking to you, which is what you'll want most in the teenage years.

Who it's for

Support for parents, and for the people who teach and care.

I work with parents one-to-one and with couples who want to get on the same page about how they raise their children. I also run parenting seminars and workshops for parents' groups, schools, teachers and grandparents, wherever a group wants practical, grounded guidance rather than theory.

If your family is going through something bigger, parenting support sits naturally alongside family therapy, and we can move between the two as you need.

The first step

Reaching out is often the hardest part. The rest we take gently, together.

Tell me a little about what is going on. There is no pressure and no obligation, and I read every enquiry myself before replying.
